Why read a Factur-X invoice
A Factur-X invoice looks like an ordinary PDF, but it also contains an attached XML file with all its structured data. That file is what accounting software reads. This Factur-X viewer opens it, so you can check that the data sent matches what is shown on the invoice, and it works as a ZUGFeRD viewer too.
The tool reads the attached XML, in Factur-X, ZUGFeRD or XRechnung format, and presents it as a readable summary. You can also download the XML to import it elsewhere. A PDF with no attached XML file is not a Factur-X invoice, even if it looks like one: the tool tells you so.
