In short
LordOfThePDF works without an account. Most tools process your files right in your browser, without uploading them. When a tool needs our servers, your files are deleted as soon as you get the result. We do not sell any data.

Your files
Tools marked "Processed in your browser, nothing is uploaded" run entirely on your device: your files never leave your computer or phone.
Tools marked "Deleted from our servers as soon as processing ends" send your files to our servers. They are processed during your request, in a temporary folder under generated names, then deleted as soon as you get the result, or immediately if an error occurs. No copy is kept, either in a cache or in logs. No one looks at your files.
Passwords entered in Protect PDF and Unlock PDF are only used for the current task. They are neither saved nor logged.
Information entered in a document template is only used to create the PDF you download. Nothing is saved.
IP address
Your IP address is used to prevent abuse: a temporary counter, erased after a few minutes, stops too many tasks from being run in a row.
It is also used to choose the site language when you arrive: the country is worked out from the address at the time of your visit, using the DB-IP database installed on our server. This country is neither saved nor shared with anyone.
The web server technical logs may contain your IP address. Retention period: 14 days.
Ads and cookies
The site is funded by Google AdSense ads. Google may set cookies to show ads and measure how well they perform, only according to the choice you make in Google's consent message. You can change this choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
The Cookies page lists every cookie LordOfThePDF uses.
Support payments
Support payments are made on Stripe's payment page. We never see your bank details. When you come back, we only check with Stripe that the payment went through, so we can stop showing you the ad blocker message.
Stripe processes the data needed for the payment under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, correct, erase, object to and restrict the processing of your data. Since LordOfThePDF creates no accounts and stores no files, in practice we hold no data about you apart from technical logs.
