Why crop a PDF
The wide white margins of a scanned document or an article laid out for print waste a lot of space on screen. When you crop PDF pages, the content fills the full width: it becomes easier to read on an e-reader, a tablet or a phone, without zooming in all the time.
Cropping sets the visible area of each page without touching the content. The text stays selectable and the quality stays the same. Note: anything outside the frame is hidden, not deleted. To remove confidential information, use the Redact PDF tool instead.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files safe?
Yes. Cropping happens in your browser: your PDF is never sent to a server and stays on your device.
Can I crop PDF pages one at a time?
Yes. Show the page you want, draw the area, then choose "To the current page only".
Are the cropped parts deleted from the file?
No, they are only hidden and remain in the file. To permanently remove information, use Redact PDF.
