Why add a watermark
A watermark clearly shows the status of a document: copy, draft, confidential. Add watermark to PDF files you send, such as an ID or a proof of address for a rental application, and stamp PDF pages with a note stating the recipient and the purpose: it reduces the risk of misuse.
You can also add your logo to brand your documents visually. Placed in the center or repeated as a tile pattern, diagonally or horizontally, the watermark stays readable thanks to the opacity setting, without hiding the content. It is added to every page of the PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files safe?
Yes. Your PDFs are processed in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Can I watermark PDF files with my logo?
Yes. Choose "Image" and import a PNG or JPG. A PNG with a transparent background gives the best result.
Does the watermark hide the text of the document?
Not if you lower the opacity. At around 25%, the default setting, the watermark stays visible and the document readable.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is built into the page content, but someone with a PDF editor can sometimes erase it. It's a deterrent, not absolute protection.
Can I process several PDFs at once?
Yes, up to 20 files with the same settings. You get them back together in a ZIP archive.
